FROM THE EDITOR: Charging a customer for using their Credit Card. Its just plain and simple wrong. Tacking on a sur-charge of 3.5% or more is wrong. Credit Card Processing is a cost of doing business. Just like cleaning supplies, tax's, electricity and so on. If a business feels the need to recoup this cost of doing business. Then add it onto the stated price. Heres a example. So your going out for a nice meal at one of our local restaurants. You go to pay the bill the Credit Card fee is added on. This is wrong. I can remember way back when, if you paid cash instead of using your credit card you would get a cash discount. Normal was up to 5%. What ever happened to the cash discount.
